Seaweed fertilizer is a kind of fertilizer that is produced by using brown marine algae or processed with a certain amount of NPK and trace elements. Marine brown algae contain many kinds of substances, seaweed and seaweed plant growth regulator (hereinafter referred to as SWC) have been studied in the following main active substances:
1 Cytokin: Cytokine belongs to cytokinin, it is a kind of physiological activity of purine derivatives.
2 Auxin: Some studies have shown that auxin can stimulate the root development of crops and the role of cold. Cutting plants with its treatment can greatly improve the survival rate.
Gibberellin gibberellin has the role of promoting plant germination, growth, flowering and fruiting.
4 abscisic acid abscisic acid (ABA) also known as ionizing acid is a plant growth inhibitor, can promote plant maturation of detachment cells and cause organ loss. Abscisic acid and gibberellin antagonistic effect.
5 Ethylene: The role of ethylene in plant growth is to reduce the rate of growth and promote premature fruit.
6 betaine: Betaine is an amino acid or amino acid derivatives, in the case of very low concentrations can greatly improve plant chlorophyll content.
7 Polyamines: Polyamines are a group of compounds that act like auxins and, by taxonomy, do not belong to plant hormones. Since polyamines can have a wide range of effects on plant physiological processes, these compounds in SWC products have to be considered. No polyamine has been reported in commercial SWC products yet.
