On February 4th, Qingdao hosted a grand ceremony to honor the outstanding entrepreneurs of Qingdao for the year 2022, with 42 entrepreneurs officially recognized and awarded.
This is the first group of entrepreneurs selected since the introduction of the "Qingdao Outstanding Entrepreneurs Selection and Reward Measures" in September last year. According to the "Selection and Reward Measures," the selection of outstanding entrepreneurs in Qingdao takes place every five years. The awards include "Qingdao Outstanding Entrepreneur" (2 individuals), "Qingdao Industry Leader Entrepreneur" (10 individuals), and "Qingdao Excellent Entrepreneur" (30 individuals).
Among the entrepreneurs selected for the first time in 2022, the recipients of the "Qingdao Outstanding Entrepreneur" are Zhou Yunjie, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board, and CEO of Haier Group Corporation, and Huang Kexing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Tsingtao Brewery Group Co., Ltd.
Of the 42 entrepreneurs, 29 are from the manufacturing industry, 10 from the service industry, 2 from the construction industry, and 1 from the agricultural industry. In terms of ownership, there are 15 state-owned enterprises, 24 private enterprises, 1 Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-invested enterprise, 1 collective enterprise, and 1 Sino-foreign joint venture enterprise.
It is also worth noting that in 2022, the provincial government awarded Zhang Ruimin the title of "Shandong Outstanding Entrepreneur," and Zhou Houjian and Zhang Guofang the title of "Shandong Industry Leader Entrepreneurs." Seven individuals, including Yuan Zhongxue, were awarded the title of "Shandong Excellent Entrepreneurs." In this selection, the 10 entrepreneurs who received provincial titles are not eligible to apply for the same municipal-level titles, nor are they eligible to apply for titles at a lower level than those already awarded.
According to the "Selection and Reward Measures," entrepreneurs selected as outstanding entrepreneurs and awarded the title of "Qingdao Outstanding Entrepreneur" will receive a reward of 2 million yuan each; those selected as industry leader entrepreneurs and awarded the title of "Qingdao Industry Leader Entrepreneur" will receive a reward of 1 million yuan each; and those selected as excellent entrepreneurs and awarded the title of "Qingdao Excellent Entrepreneur" will receive a reward of 500,000 yuan each. The reward funds are provided by the municipal finance and are distributed to the personal bank accounts of the recipients according to regulations.
In addition, entrepreneurs awarded these titles will be issued a unified "Qingdao Entrepreneur Service Card," providing preferential guarantees in medical treatment, transportation, and children's education.
