GGOG was invited to attend the 8th China-ASEAN Maritime Cooperation Forum

From November 28th to 29th, the Eighth China-ASEAN Marine Cooperation Forum was grandly held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The forum focused on 'Strengthening Ocean and Climate Research Cooperation to Accelerate Actions of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.' Over 200 experts and representatives from more than 70 management departments, research institutions, and marine-related enterprises from China and nine Southeast Asian countries attended to discuss regional ocean cooperation and development paths. Wu Shipeng, Chairman of GGOG, Wu Yang, Vice Chairman, and Wu Jifa, Deputy General Manager, were invited to attend this forum. On the morning of the 28th, they jointly participated in the opening ceremony of the China-ASEAN Marine Cooperation Forum.

In the afternoon, during the East Asia Summit's coastal economic development forum, Deputy Chairman Wu Yang delivered a keynote speech titled 'Enhancing High-Value Utilization of Indonesian Red Algae Resources to Promote the Building of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.' The report covered three core topics: highlights of group development, representative projects for high-end upgrades in marine biomedicine, and the group's development cooperation plans in Indonesia.

      On the 29th, I attended the plenary session of the China-ASEAN Marine Cooperation Forum and also participated in the signing ceremony for the Letter of Intent on raw material procurement agreements in the morning. Wu Yang, Vice Chairman of GGOG, signed the letter on behalf of the company with the suppliers on site.

During the forum, GGOG was invited to meet and exchange ideas with Mr. Safar, President of the Indonesian Seaweed Industry Association, Mr. Ian, General Manager of Global Seaweed Indonesia, and Mr. Boros, Chairman of Independent Hydrocolloid Indonesia. Mr. Safar expressed his support for GGOG business expansion in Indonesia. Meanwhile, GGOG Chairman Wu Shipeng also extended a sincere invitation for them to visit China.

       It is reported that this forum is co-hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources of China and the Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency, with the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Earth Science and Ocean Institute of the National Research Agency, General Sudirman University of Indonesia, the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries' Human Resources and Fisheries Development Agency, and the International Cooperation Center of the 'Decade of the Ocean' jointly organizing it. Experts and policymakers from Southeast Asian countries and China have been invited to collaborate and share professional knowledge on marine science and policy under the framework of the United Nations 'Decade of the Ocean,' promoting international marine cooperation and achieving regional sustainable development, striving for a clean, peaceful, and prosperous ocean shared by humanity.
